Raised hatches can be used in locations where tripping hazards are not present, and where vehicular traffic is not a concern. The panel is raised above the ground surface, which eliminates ice and water build up in the frame recess.

Available in any size, for any pressure requirement, raised hatches can be sealed using dogs or drop bolts to compress the gasket. Individual dogs or quick-acting handwheels can open the hatch from one or both sides. Drop bolts offer a more economical option if the hatch can be opened/closed from the top only.
