| Hatches larger than 4' and high-pressure hatches often require power operation or assist due to the weight of the panel. Both flush and raised hatches can be designed with total power operation where both the open/closing and dogging actions are hydraulically powered. For cost savings, the open/close function can be powered while the dogging remains manually operated. Options include local and remote indication/control stations, hydraulic power units, hydraulic hand pumps, hydraulic valve manifolds, motor starters, and warning horns and lights.
